We are going to make this...
You need to download this picture by right clicking when you go here...
CONE
You will need to download a plugin called "eliminate white" you can get it here
Eliminate White PlugIn
In your folder at My Documents/My PSP8/Plugins/ make a folder and name it eliminate white. Now download,
unzip and place that plugin into the folder you just made.
Ok, here we go!
First go to Layers/Promote Background Layer and click, if a window opens, just click OK.
We want to take the white background off of our ice cream cone, we do that with our plugin I had you download.
Go to Effects/Plugins, mine here is under Transparent,

but yours may not be.

When you click it, it should look like this

We want to fill in the ice cream, you can choose any flavor (color) you want, I chose chocolate, my color is #5A2C04. You will click on your Materials pallet foreground

And then you can type in the number I have, or choose your own color and click OK.
Make sure your fill tool properties look like this

And click inside the ice cream area. Any small areas that do not color in, you can click with your fill tool, or use the paint brush tool, set at one pixel and fill them.
Now we want to fill in the cone part. This will have to be done a little at a time, because of all the seperate areas in the cone, but you can do it quickly with your fill tool, just click each round area in the cone.
I used the color #EDD69F, and just click each area. My done looks like this...

Again, you may have to zoom in and get any small areas that didn't get filled in.
Now I want you to use the color replacer tool.

Set at this

And you will set the background at black. And your forground at the darker color of your cone. I used #A7883D. When I press my mouse button and go over the black areas, it turns the color I wanted it to be. Mine now looks like this...

We want to shade the chocolate part, so we click on the selection magic wand tool

Set at this

Now click on the ice cream and it should look something like this..

You want to go to the top and click on the word Selection and then go down to float and click.

Now in your layers pallet, you should have this...

You want to go to Effects/3d/cutout.

Set your first cutout at this setting

With the color #9E7F65, your cone should look something like this

And now you will apply the cutout tool again, with these settings

And the color #24160A Go back to Selection and Unselect.

Your cone should look close to this...

Go back to your color replacer tool and set your background to black and foreground to #341E0B And go over the ice cream to fill in the black areas with a dark brown.

Now go to your selection tool, and choose the freehand tool, make sure it is set to point to point.

Now go around your cone. It doesn't have to be perfect, but close! Now float the selection, like we did with the ice cream. Go back to your cutout tool and put in these settings

with the color #856C31. And your ice cream cone should be finished!
Open a transparent 350 by 250 project. Fill it with your own backgroud, either patteren, color or gradient, it's up to you. Click on your ice cream cone and click CTRL and C to copy, then click on your filled background and go to Edit/Paste/New Layer.

Mine looks like this

Use your Deform tool to make your cone smaller on your background.

Now you want to add your name. Use the text tool.

You may have different size than I do since my name is only 4 letters, but you want to add it as a vector. Now add a vector layer, to add your text to.

Click your background and type in your name (or a word). Now you can move it to fit properly.

If you want to change your text, you still can! Here is a nifty trick I learned! Right click on your text layer

Then choose the following...

You will see a new "+" sign, when you click on it you will see each of the letters of the word!

If you double click on a letter, you can change it any way you want! Here I changed the background and foreground material on the M

You can do that to all of your letters if you want. You can also click and hold the CTRL button or Shift button on your keyboard to get all kinds of different shape effects. Here is what mine looks like now!

Now you can right click on your vector layer, when you are dont playing with your letters and convert it to a raster layer.

Once you have done that, you can add a nice drop shadow.

And go back to your ice cream layer and add the same shadow to it, using the effects/3d/drop shadow tool! To finsh your pretty new tag, you can add a frame or border. First you have to go to Layers/Merge/Visable. Then go to Image/Add Borders (or frame). Once you have it like you want, then you can export as a jpg! Here is my tag!

Note to Stepping Stones...
I thank you for everything you have taught me so far! I would not have been able to have done half of this
without it. I would have went on to animate the tag, but it was long enough...LOL! I cut some step's screenshots to make
the lesson shorter, also ;-) But I think you can see I have learned ALOT from your lessons.
For anyone who would like to learn how to use PSP (8, 9, 10, or 11) in an easy, at your pace lesson, PLEASE try
