So, now that we have made our ball. You want to decorate it from scratch! Here is how I did my gold and silver ball, the bottom decorated ball.
First click on your tube tool. All versions should have the gold rope tube.

FIRST....add a raster layer!!!
You want to go to the bottom of your ball.

You can make this little knot as big or little as you like. If you don't like it, just undo and go again. Until you like it!

Now go back to the top and make the tube size smaller.

Click in the middle of your knot.

Just click once. Now hold down the SHIFT key on your keyboard, and then go down to the bottom of your "tassle" and click once, holding the shift key down. You should get something like this.

Now just repeat this step, moving your cursor out a little on each side.

Keep doing this, until it is as full and big as you like!

Now add a new raster layer. We want to make a hanger for your ball. So click on the paint brush too.

With these settings.

It should look something like this, when you put your cursor at the top of your ball. DONT CLICK YET!

You can make it smaller or bigger, that is up to you.
Now lets set the color you want to make this. I have picked 2 greys, one dark and one light. You want to click on the foreground color, then click GRADIENT, and find your foreground to background gradient. You need these settings.

Now go back to your ball, and click ONE time at the top middle of the ball. And it should look like this.

Go to your eraser tool.

With these settings.

Zoom in and place your cursor right here.

Click one time and you should see this.

Click your paintbrush, and click solid color and choose the light color grey.

And now click round brush.

ADD A RASTER LAYER! And go to the top of your hanger and click ONE time.

Go to your Deform/Pick tool.

Grab the bottom and squish upward.

And set it down on the top of your hanger.

Use a darker grey and smaller brush size.

And click a little dark bump in the middle.

ADD A NEW RASTER LAYER!!
Now for a little string/ribbon. Click a color of gold, I just used the eyedropper and went with the same color as the gold in the ball.

With the paint brush set to this.

Now click once above your hanger.

You want to use your deform/pick tool again.

And click and drag the left node toward the right.

Now choose your selection wand.

Click on your gold oval.

Now go here.

With these settings.

Now go here and cut.

Now go to bevel tool with these settings.

And there you go!!
