I am going to fix a photo. This is my starting photo that I took of my hibiscus, sometimes
nature is not prefect, but we can fix it!
See the gap? We are going to fix it! First I zoom in to see the outter line. I
want to outline a pedal and duplicate it, to fill the gap. I click on the outline tool
I will start here
I click around in small steps, until I connect to the starting spot
You dont really have to be perfect with the outlining. Here is my selection
Now I click CTRL+d and make a duplicate of the selection. This is the duplicate and in my stack I have cuplicate I also like the leaf, that will
be covered up, so I am going to outline it too.
So now I click on the pedal, and move it to where I want it.
I have to tilt it so that it fits right Then I squash it a little
And stretch it a little Not too bad! But not
quite there yet ;-)
First I make sure the pedal is selected, then I go in to EFFECTS/TRANSPARENCY/BRUSH,
I always choose HARD transparentcy and 100%
I want to take a little off of the pedal, so that is looks more "real".
Here we go Now I want to lock the pedal and
the photo together, so I can use the clone tool, I click the pedal, then press and hold
CTRL and click the photo in the stack A little lock appears, so I click it
to lock them together
Now I go to TOUCHUP/CLONE BRUSH. I want to put in some of the red center on the new pedal
I click on the red part first, I try to pick an area where I will
get more coverage before I have to pick a new starting place.
The x is where the tool will get the red from, the o will be where it will clone it too.
I usually clone a little, then click SET NEW START POSITION several
times while working with the clone. Some times it works better to click several times than
to drag it. Here is what I come up with I repeat the same steps for
my added leaf, and this is what I get!
