This lesson is easy enough for beginners and can be done with ALL versions
of PI & DIP. You will need to know where some of the areas are in your version of PI,
I have done this one in PI2000 and the other at the bottom in DIP.
You will be making this
First before you begin, you need to find flowers you want to use, either ones you have already
or search google image search for some with the word "flowers" or even look at florist sites! Link
to google image search is on my main PI page. You need to fill it with
gradient (or solid or even a picture if you wish). I chose these
2 filters in my gradients Now you need to go to Illusions
And find this filter Click on this filter
and then go down a little ways and click on this You will then change the last
slider bar that looks like this Slide it ALL the way to the right, until
it says 10 on it. You may want to try the other sliders, and play around to see if you
like something better Your circle should now look something like this, after
you squash it down a little to make it more of a side way oval.
Now to add the base, you need to add a square shape this time
You will now go back to fill with gradient. And click this Then click on
the first color choice
You will now use the eye dropper to choose 2 color from
the gradient colors in your vase, there is not right or wrong way for this, all up to
what you like. Now click on the 2nd color choice and do the same thing
Your vase bottom should look like this
You can stop here, or you can do a little more to make it look a little more fancy. I chose to make mine
a little more fancy, by beveling the base. You do this by clicking on your base,
click CTRL+d to duplicate your base. Click on the bottom one and go to Brightness & Contrast, slide
each bar to the left until it is as dark as you like. Now click on the
top layer of your base and go to Soft edges and move the slider over toward the right
until you see as much of the bottom layer as you like. Now your base should look
something like this Now add your flowers, make sure they are cutout, and dont have a background. And you have a
new vase!

When you have your flowers, we now need
a vase. You will add a circle shape.
