This is for making an easy trinket box. This box was made for psp, and have figured out how to make it with Picture It. This tut is made with PI2001, if you find that some of the things don't match up to yours. Although it is possible for you to make this with any version of PI, you may just have to look around a little.
First you have to download this zip the outline of the box. The zip contains both a PI format and gif box frame. The PI format was made with PI2000, it can be used with PI2001, but I don't know about PI2002, you will have to give it a try. If not you can use the gif format frame. The gif can be used by any of the versions. Once you have downloaded and unzipped the frame. You will need to open it in PI. You then choose a graphic or photo you want to work with. This tut works best with one big scene graphic. To use different graphics for each side, try the advanced trinket box tut.

Once you have your graphic and frame open in PI, you can drag and drop the frame onto the graphic. Size it to best fit your graphic.

You will now need to trim your graphic, so it fits into the frame. To do this you will need to click on the graphic

then go to CUTOUT & PICTURE/TRIM CUTOUT-CUT A HOLE/ TRACE IT ON MY OWN.

Now you will trace around the frame

it doesn't have to be perfect, as long as you trim inside the frame outline, around the whole outside. When you have done this, click NEXT and then choose SELECT OPPOSITE AREA

so that the outside of the frame part is cut off. At this point you can be done!

Or you can fancy it up, change the color of the frame to match the graphic, by choosing CHANGE COLOR or CORRECT COLOR TINT, either of these will change the color, but leave the frame they way it looks.
I also added a little top handle on this one, just used a cut out jewel on top, maybe a shadow. You can also use ILLUSIONS for some texture to your box. It is all up to you! You now have a trinket box.
