Start with downloading the following zipped graphics. You will need your cross stitch cloth. You can use your own graphics, but here is a ZIP of the ones I used. 1 Santa, 1 reindeer and 1 sleigh. And the background for your picture. If you download these, you will need a zip program to unzip them, you can find free ones at download.com or tucows.com.

You will open your cross stitch cloth, and cut it into a circle. In PI2002 to cut the circle you will have to click on your square, then you get the cutout option menu. Choose Trim Cutout/Cut a Hole. Select the circle cookie cutter shape.

Adjust the circle to fit the cutout area, then click NEXT, you will have to choose SELECT OPPISITE AREA. Make a copy of it by selecting the first circle and then pressing CTRL+D. You will make the top one smaller thant the bottom layer. For the top top layer I added a Photo Stroke Edge of the bamboo looking picture. In PI2002 you find this under FRMAES & EDGE EFFECTS/PHOTO EDGE STROKE. You then need to choose the 2nd picture.

The default is at 50, and that is too big, so choose the stroke width of 20 or a thickness that you like.

For the bottom layer, you will use PICTURE PUTTY to shape it. Select the bottom layer and go to PHOTO & COLOR EFFECTS/PICTURE PUTTY/DISTORT THE WHOLE OBJECT AUTOMATICALLY. Go down to the 12th filter and choose that one.

The default is 40, adjust this to about 28-30 depending on the look you want. You now are ready to drag and drop your other graphics on to it!

You will add a shadow to both layers. This can be done by going to PHOTO & COLOR EFFECTS/SHADOW. Adjust the shadow the way you like them.

At this point you can use any graphics and you can put them anywhere. It is all up to you! Just remember to TEXTURIZE each graphic you use, by going to PHOTO & COLOR EFFECTS/ILLUSIONS/TEXTURIZER.

This makes your graphics look somewhat like cross stitch!

Now just add a little hanger at the top if you want. I used a stamp that comes with the PI2002, it is a golden ring and then I shaped it by squashing it! You are now finshed! You can add a background, that is up to you. You could also add some text. There is a font for cross stitch. Have fun!
