Below you will find 2 versions of each edge and an example of the edge. Click the right format and download the edge. You will be downloading a ZIP file of this edge. You will need a zip program to UNZIP the actual edge to use in your program. If you don't unzip it, you will not be able to use it. You can get one at Winzip or you can find several free ones at Download.com.
Once you have your edge unzipped, now you will need to place it in your file, for your program. This is the same folder in every verison of Picture It! Here are the following things you will click to get to your folder...
You should find this on your desktop
You will click this:
Now look for this:
Now look for your verison of Picture It and click it:
You will now look for:
And now you need to click:
And look for this and click:
And finally you will see this:
And in this folder you will see something like this:
You can make your window smaller, so that you can drag this new edge into this folder, or when your zip program extracts the unzipped edge, have it put the new edge in this folder.
Once placed in this folder, you can now use it! Open your Picture It! and you will go to the following:
PI2000:EDGE EFFECTS/COOL EDGES/DESIGNER EDGES
PI2001:SHOW MY PICTURES & PROJECTS/MY DOCUMENTS/(open a graphic)/EDGE EFFECTS/COOL EDGES/DESIGNER
PI2002:OPEN & EDIT/MY COMPUTER/(open a graphic)/FRAMES & EDGE EFFECTS/COOL EDGES/DESIGNER
Digital Pro:EFFECTS at the top or EDGES to the left/DESIGNER EDGES/ARTISTIC
The new edges will all be at the bottom of the list of original edges.
Now, I have found that some programs treat the new edges different. Some work better on bigger graphics and some work better on smaller ones, some will actually blur if it doesn't agree with the graphic you are using it on. But don't give up! You can always go ahead and apply the edge you want, and if it looks fuzzy, you can use the blur/sharpen tool to sharpen the project, sometimes this will work! You could also try making your graphic larger before using the edge.
I hope to add more as time allows me to make them. I also am looking to make some tutitorals for
using these edges to apply frame like colored edges by using these edges!
Here is the curled frame that started all this, there is no png, because the newer verisons already have that one!
