THIS LESSON SHOULD BE DONE WITH YOUR DOLLZ AFTER YOU HAVE DRESSED HER AND FINSHED HER OUTFIT!
If you want to make your dollz animated by blinking, this is the lesson you need. You will need any verison of Picture It! for the animation part. You will need MS paint for the acutal painting part. You can find MS Paint by going to START/ PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES/PAINT. Open you dollz in this program. It is best to save your dollz in Picture It! Format, (MIX or PNG). This helps your dollz not have too much compression in color. When you open your dollz, you want to focus on her face...mostly her eyes.

You can do this in a slow blink of fast blink, depending on how many frames you choose to use. I like the slower blink, it looks a little more "real". So I make 4 base frames for my animation. To do this you will choose a darker color around your eyeball to pain over with. You will see your tool bar to the left.

You will need to click on the eyedropper,

and then use it to click on the color near your eyeball you want to paint with.

If you can't see your eyeball close enough, just use the magnifying glass at 8x. First you need to save a frame of your wide open eye dollz. Once you have your color, you will now click on the paint brush, and choose the circle brush and the smallest sized brush. This will give you one single pixle to paint with. You will start by painting over 2 rows of pixels at the top of your eyeball with your flesh color.

Once you have painted 2 rows of flesh, go down to the 3rd row and paint it black, this is your lash line.

Once you have your lash line painted in, you will save in Bitmap or PNG format. Now paint over your lash line and go down one more line and paint, then paint another lash line and save again.

Do this until you have no eyeball showing.

You now have your 4 basic frames. You can close MS Paint and now open your Picture It program. You need to open your 4 frames (or how many you ended up with) into your program. You will need to duplicate each frame once and your wide open eyeball several times, because to make her look like she just blinks, you will need to make her eyes open much longer than the frames for blinking. So I probably duplicated my wide open frame 15-20 times, just play around and see what you like. Make sure the 2 middle are in reverse of the first 2, so that instead of the eye closing, it opens it. Then I set the animation speed to the lowest 0.01 this gives the best blink...for me, you choose what you like! Once you are happy save! And she should look like this

And if you want a quick easy blink, you can skip to just the first wide open eye and the completely closed eye, animate them, making sure you duplicate the wide open eye again several times. And the animation speed doesn't need to be as low. It will look like this
