I love using Picture It! If you have not tried this graphic software you MUST go try it!! While MS says it helps make good photos great, I say it does WAY more than photos! While I have been using this program since it first came out way back when, I still think the older version of PI2000 is my favorite when it comes to Picture It! programs. But it is very hard to find this version now a days, if you really want it you would have to look at maybe ebay but other wise there are many other versions out there. I have not tried them all, but lots of people have and they really like them. About 3 or 4 years ago, MS started making a Digital Pro version of Picture It! and this is what I use now. They have come out with 2 verisons that I really like and recommend. Digital Image Pro 9 and Digital Pro 10. These versions are great because this time it goes back to work more like PI2000. You open right to the work area and there are brand new plugin area, transparent brush (eraser tool!) and it has selections!! These are wonderful! Also, in DIP10 you can actally paint by pixel, what a wonderful thing! In 2006, Microsoft stopped making any Picture It! programs, they officially call it Digital Image, usually with 2 versions, a basic version which is a limited version with limited tools, and a Suite version that has all the "bells and whistles", so if you are looking for the full program, buy the Suite. Digital Image 2006 Suite supports RAW files, which some digital cameras require!

Most plugin filters made for PSP/PHOTOSHOP will work in DIPs. I have found that Super Blade Pro will not work. These tutitorials can also be done with the new versions, but you have to know where to find some of the things in the new versions. If you need help finding something, just ask! Have fun.
